Her whimsical folk art scenes of Wallowa County are first drawn on board, woodburned, and then painted, using dyes and acrylics. Her artwork has been sold in Washington, Oregon, California, and Ohio. Jean has no formal art training. Her pictures are drawn as though seen through the eye of a camera. Ted Staidle, Jean's husband, constructs and handmakes the frames for her pictures.
