Perhaps the last to know... but I discovered that our recycling drop off center in Enterprise now takes plastic -- though you need to removed the lids and put them 'in the bucket' separately.
I am so jazzed! I've been recycling glass and tin and various papers for a bit, and have been careful about buying food in plastic jars. But now there's a place to deal with it!
I'll still be careful about how I buy of course. And I'll start carrying one of Joan Williams' jazzy shopping bags made of recycled fabrics from our own fabulous Soroptomists! And... what plastic bags I do take home, I will continue to use two or three times if I can, as I'm sure many of you do.
Guess this has been around a while.(I gave up looking, always a mistake!)
